Wow is the only word I can think of to describe Heart of a Donovan. A.C. leaves you breathless in this installment of the Donovan clan. It's time for a Donovan family reunion and a wedding between Brock and Noelle but danger lurks all around them. I have always been a fan of the Donovan books and I am continuing to enjoy them. The end of this book lets us know that there are so many more mysteries to uncover and the family will be in even more danger down the line. I can't wait for the next book and the Donovan family reunion in October.
All though I gave this book four stars I think the basic premise of the story was forgotten they were too many sub plots sometimes it was hard to keep up with all the characters and the plots. But I loved the closeness of this family and how the mother's embrace their son's ladies. This book ended with another plot coming to life in future books. I think there may be one on Devlin and Bailey. Happy Reading.
Well developed characters and a star studded roster of evil doers out to get the Donovans' and wreck Noelle' s wedding day, including Mother Nature. The story was fascinating but the proofreader needed to do a better job.Thing or think.. and two for too... Vegan for Vega... I was a tad confused because I was under the impression that Vega killed two women on that beach, but only one body was mentioned discovered?!? Can't wait to hear about the senoirs' dark secret.

I loved this installment of the Donovans. I did have the thought that this sweet family was being taken to the dark side and wanted them not to go there, but I shall survive. I knew, of course, that Vega was one villian, but was surprised by the other. I loved the chemistry between Reagan and Gavin. I also loved that we had visit from other Donovans and Friends that we've read about since the beginning. Now, what has driven me crazy is the ending. It's a great ending and left me wanting more, which tells me that something getting ready to hit the fan in the next installment. I give this book a five because it's the highest that you put on , but it was definitely 10 stars and more.
I love the Donovan series but this particular book was somewhat
sporadic for me. I couldn't understand why AC Arthur felt the
need to keep going back to storylines in previous series that
were already covered. This story was suppose to be about Regan
and Garvin. I didn't get the chemistry between them because
it was so much going on with previous issues. The storyline
started great and was a great read but I felt their was to
much focus on other characters without the main focus on
the primary characters. The ending sort of lost me,I guess
that is a cliffhanger into the next book dealing with Uncle
Albert's secret and Bailey and Devlin becoming a couple. IDK
but we will see.......
I'm kind of middle of the road on this story. Here's my issue This was suppose to be Regan and Gavin's story, however the supporting characters story seemed to overshadow the romance between them. At one point it seems like it was a continuation of Ben and Victoria's story, oh but then it was Noelle and Brock's wedding, so it switched. Add to that the unresolved issues with unresolved threats from previous stories and you have everybody getting more limelight than Gavin and Regan.
It was a decent story, however where is Gavin and Regan's story. I feel they were cheated, because their relationship really wasn't developed. I just don't feel the supporting cast should over-shallow the main characters, therefore for me it was just okay.
The story was good, yet it rambled a little too much. The relationship with Lucas and Regan Donovan is really intense, and needed to be the primary focus, along with Brook and Noelle. Friends with benefits is a common theme in romance novels for a few years now. The Donovan family is on their private island for Brook and Noelle's wedding and an old nemesis is out to get them again. Reader alert, some of the couples are featured in other books and plots for revenge. This is book 10... In order to follow some of the story line it helps to have read at the previous 4 books. Especially book 9 which deals with Ben and Victoria the ones being chased. A good story, except it has many characters in one story.. In the end Regan and Lucas find their way to love..
